Since graduating from Chicago Kent College of Law in 2000, and his admission to the Illinois Bar in November 2000, Thomas Freitag has subsequently been admitted to Bar for the Northern District of Illinois U.S. District Court, the Trial Bar for the Northern District of Illinois and the United States Supreme Court. Thomas Freitag has successfully handled numerous complex matters, working at the City of Chicago Law Department. He was an Assistant Corporation Counsel defending the City of Chicago, and Chicago Police Officers from various civil rights allegations. Mr. Freitag has participated in or assisted in over one hundred lawsuits, including several jury trials.
Thomas Freitag was formerly a member of the Chicago Police Department, becoming a Chicago police lieutenant and working as a member of Chicago’s Police Department for over 2 decades. During his tenure on the CPD, he attended law school at night and earned a Law Degree from Chicago-Kent College of Law. Tom also served in the U.S. Army and during his time with the U.S. Army, he was instilled with the fundamental beliefs of the Soldier’s Creed, part of which is to be professional and never quit. These principles served him well in his time in the military and has continued to serve him throughout his legal career to the benefit of his clients.
